How to Fix Telescoping Fabric on Roller Shades
Introduction
These instructions will show you an easy way to correct telescoping on roller shades. Telescoping is when the shade gathers unevenly to one side.
Tools Needed
Painter's/Masking Tape
Parts Needed
None
Step 1 – Use a level device to confirm that the shade is properly mounted and level.
Step 2 – Unroll the shade to the point where it currently stops.
- Apply one piece of tape to the side opposite of where the shade is telescoping.
Step 3 – Check to see if the shade is rolling up evenly.
- Apply additional tape until the shade is rolling up evenly.
