How Much String Do You "Really" Need?
  1. We will be measuring each string individually
  2. Always measure the string furthest from the cord lock first.
  3. Round measurements up to the nearest inch.
  4. Measure length of shade (A to B)
  5. Measure from most distant cord guide (B) to edge of cord lock (C).
  6. Measure from edge of cord lock (C) to tassel (D) if needed.
  7. Add these three measurements together and add 18 inches.
  8. Total and round up to nearest foot.
  9. (Example 114 inches divided by 12 = 9.5 feet)
  10. Round up to 10 feet.
  11. Repeat these steps for each string (roll mouse over picture for help).
  12. Add all string lengths together for total number of feet needed per blind or shade.
  13. NOTE: Make sure and double the total amount for Top-down-bottom-up & Day-night shades.
