I refinished five wooden Venetian blinds (circa 1930's). Fix My Blinds had all the right stuff with handy tips on how to measure (like to tell the difference between 3.6 mm and 4.0 mm string). The shipping was prompt and the follow-up customer service was outstanding. The product quality was also excellent. I will go back to them when I am ready to tackle the rest of my windows.

We've repaired a houseful of cellular shades (some top-down, bottom-up) for several years now, using your repair supplies, saving us hundreds of dollars by repairing instead of replacing shades. One suggestion I'll share - we use a size 8 crochet hook rather than a needle as we restring (bought your needle and we tried it, but the crochet hook is easier). Thanks for helping us save lots of money by replacing cords instead of replacing shades when the cord breaks!

Like to say Thank You. I wasn't going to call the manufacturer due I know how they jump you from one person to the next. So I found you Fix My Blinds and look at the how to repair my blind myself as well how to measure string/cord size so simple as well detailed that any one person would understand and save hundred dollars or so to repair their own blind. I replaced the broken pull cords on my honeycomb shades took a hour with my little helper. Like to again, Thank You All.

My blinds are about 18 years old. Had a not-so-great time trying to communicate with the manufacturer (Levolor) trying to find out if one of my blinds were repairable. They supposedly had a Limited Life-Time warranty. The part I needed should have been part of the warranty. The blind is part of a matching pair. No repair meant replacing both custom blinds. Thanks to fixmyblinds the replacement part was available (wand tilt gear), the delivery was prompt, and the price was great. Couldn't be happier!

I had hired a professional blind repair company to fix my blinds and saw how he repaired them (three of them for about $100). I wish I would have found this site before I hired them if I would have known how easy it was to repair my broken wand tilter. When I saw how easy they were, I picked some up and in case I had to replace others. Well, I am back again because I have repaired three more and now I need back ups! The tilter is heavy duty steel rather than plastic. When you are turning your wand to open or close the blinds and you are left with the wand on your hand because the plastic broke off,think FixMyBlinds.com for the solution! I recently ordered parts from your company as well as an on line competitor, Blind Distributors. Your customer service was superb and Mikel was so helpful and friendly. When I had to return a part, the replacements were there in a few days. The competitor, Blind Distributors of Las Vegas, was a huge disappointment. It took over a month to receive my PayPal credit and they failed to mention a 25 percent restocking charge for about an ounce of plastic which did not look good with the older blinds I had. It cost me 20.00 to buy from them and return the ounce of plastic tassels. No Thanks. Great Job to Fix My Blinds for your excellent service and commitment to customer satisfaction.

It is hard to find a company that has as good a customer service as this one does. First their web site is perfect, you actually see the part. I miss measured and ordered the wrong part, absolutely my fault. Sent them a e-mail explaining my mistake the made my mistake right at no extra cost. That is rare in this age. Restring Top Down Bottom Up Honeycomb

One of my Top Down Bottom Up honeycomb shades from Hunter Douglas needed to be re-strung. I had recently had some similar blinds re-strung and knew that it cost $75 to have it done locally. I bought the kit for $27 (incl shipping) and restrung it myself. I was able to do it, but it was something of a pain. A key difficulty was that the instructions were poor for Top Down Bottom Up re-stringing. There were things in the instructions that only applied to bottom-up blinds. My blinds were a 2-string design. If I had been doing one of my wider blinds, that have a third (center) string, it would have been even more complicated, and the instructions don't even mention a center string. But, I'm mechanically inclined, and they're just blinds, so we got it done. It will take half as much time next time. It would have gone much better this time if there were real TDBU instructions.

Fast shipping, easy to determine what we needed, reasonable prices, and relatively painless repair. Our only problem was with instructions to restring top-down-bottom-up honeycomb blinds. A standard set of instructions was included, but it did not include the ONE page that was vital for successful restringing. After additional searching, I found the missing guide on their website and finished the job. Overall a great service, but needs to make sure all appropriate instructions are included.

Thank you so much for such a large selection on the vertical blind valance clips. I didn't realize that they came in so many different shapes and sizes, but I measured the valance and got the size right the very first time. The company that I bought my vertical blinds from went out of business and I couldn't find a replacement at any hardware store or blind shop; but thank God you came through for me. I'm about to order again to fix additional continuous cord loop shades. Ordering the right stuff is easy due to all the helpers and the instructions are great. Anyone can do this. I just finished changing out the Low Profile Cord Lock Mechanism, AND re-stringing my very large, very expensive wooden blinds. I ordered the parts from you, and followed your directions. The job went PERFECTLY. The blinds act exactly the way they should. I had a 7 year-old blind that had plastic drums which had deteriorated and crumbled after years of sun exposure. This site was recommended to me by Home Depot. The replacement drums were stamped metal so they will outlast the rest of the blind. They were economical, and delivery was within five days. The only complaint that I had was that the new drums were not exact replacements for the one's that broke (they lacked a bearing protrusion which allows the drum rod to rest and rotate in the drum carriers), but I was able to work around that by obtaining some nylon bushings from Home Depot. It was a relatively easy work-around, and I would definitely order from FixMyBlinds.com again!

Hello! I cannot believe how incredibly wonderful this is! We were able to fix our Smith & Noble cell shades very easily! The hardest part was threading the needle and tying a knot :-) !!! The cord matched perfectly, and the kit came very quickly! We could not be more pleased! Thank you for this wonderful service and product! One of our cats had chewed the cords, but now we have treated the new cords with "Bitter Yuck," an all-natural Rosemary spray, which should do the trick! Again, many thanks!!!

Got some Levolor replacement parts in Nov 2008. It was easy to find what I needed and it was cheaper than blindparts.com. Goods were delivered as promised in about a week. Goods were well packaged to avoid any damage. The only reason for 4 stars is that the wand-tip did not fit tightly into one of the tilt wands. Other than that, great job.

I have just placed my double cell shade accessories order and have not received yet, but I just want to thank for the great site you have and all the help you are offering. We have ordered our honeycomb double cell shades 4 years ago through a local company and we have paid a huge premium compared to measuring our own windows and doors and ordering them online and installing the shades ourselves, but we did this with a purpose so we can get service later if anything goes wrong. So far we had 2 blinds shipped back to the manufacturer for repair. Every time the repair meant that we had to drive 60 miles to the blind dealer to drop the blinds off and they shipped it back to the manufacturer to fix it, and our windows had no shades for a month or so while the manufacturer fixed the shades and shipped it back to the local dealer, then we had to drive another 60 miles to pick the shades up from the local dealer. The third time we had a problem we figured it out how to fix the blind ourselves just to avoid all this hassle. Now the endless cord broke on one of our shades and the procedure would be the same, so I had enough. Came online, found this site and ordered the endless cord online. In the mean time we took a perfect endless cord from a door which is not used that much and replaced the broken cord on the window that is used every day. It was that simple! It took us 3 minutes of time and now that I have ordered some extra cords from you guys I know that we can fix with no hassle anything goes wrong with our shades again. Called up the local dealer to let them know that they will never ever again see any business from us and from those that we talk to either. If over 4 years that they are in the business could not figure out how to do minimal service for the blinds that they offer, they should not be in the business anyway. My advice to anyone is do not pay the huge premium at the local dealer, get the blinds online and install it yourself, there are excellent instructions on how to measure your windows and how to install the shades. It is actually fun! Thanks again!

I ordered a continuous cord loop and tie down to replace the broken one for my cellular blinds. Ordering online was easy and secure. I received email confirmation for the order and receipt of payment, as well as a notice when the item was shipped - excellent communication. My order was shipped almost immediately and arrived sooner than I expected. The merchandise was of excellent quality. The only issue I had was that the 0.9mm restring needle was too short (2") to thread through the pleated shade cell-stack which was about 5" thick (with the shades fully collapsed & compressed) so I had to use a piece of steel wire instead. But other than this everything worked out great & I would definitely buy from this merchant again.

I ordered and quickly received a restringing kit for my Hunter Douglas honeycomb shades. It came with directions which were very helpful. It still takes some patience to get the hang of restringing, and it is best done without help from your cats! This is a great location to purchase the kits, especially since Hunter Douglas won't sell the kits for my shades anymore.

Fix My Blinds made simple work out of restringing my wooden blinds, a job for which I had previously sent my blinds out. For about 17 bucks I was able to quickly do a job I paid $60 for previously. This was the second time I ordered items from FixMyBlinds.com. Both times I had a favorable experience. My vertical blinds were breaking off, thanks to small children and pets in our home. I searched the web for Levolor replacement or repair parts. I found the 'Fix My Blinds' and found exactly the 'tilter' that I needed. I personally thought the cost was a bit 'pricey', but I had to have the part. We ordered the part over the phone, furnished the cedit card, and in a few days, (as they suggested), the part arrived along with very good installation instructions. Would I buy from 'Fix My Blinds' again, yes I would since it is dificult to find parts, but also to have them delived w/o problems.

I ordered the vane savers for my vertical blind slats from Fix My Blinds. Six of my slats had completely fallen off the clips because there was no longer a slot to hang them on the clips. The $17 I spent saved me from having to spend at least $100 for new slats. Great business with speedy delivery time! I will use them again.

We found the directions to be accurate but too brief. A diagram would have been helpful. We also puzzled over where to join the cords since we had two kits and needed to use both cords. I ordered two EZ-Restring Kits, one for Hunter Douglas Duette blinds and one for Alta Mini Blinds. I put new string in two Duettes and three mini blinds. A commercial service would have charged me $220. Thanks for a great product with good instruction.
